ANNOUNCEMENTS
There will  be an ELA M-STEP test tomorrow for Brazier’s and Martinez’s students.

READING WORKSHOP
Barber: CSI about Book Club.

Brazier: Nonfiction pre-test: Summarizing, inferring about relationships within a text, explaining an author’s craft techniques, and comparing two texts.

Martinez: Independent Reading and Running Records testing.
Our last book club meetings will take place tomorrow.  Students may bring a special snack and drink.

WRITING
Barber:  Opinion writing post-On Demand piece.
Brazier: Student-led conference preparations. Noticing and naming nonfiction text features and structures.

Martinez: “Writers use checklists to raise the quality of their writing.”
