Barber: Review all 25 words.
*TEST TOMORROW ON ALL WORDS.

Brazier: Sentence Strip Presentations

Kornas:  Self-talking through analogies and identifying relationships.
HOMEWORK: # 12-20 ON W.M. ANALOGY SHEET DUE TOMORROW. USE A DICTIONARY. IDENTIFY THE RELATIONSHIP FOR EACH ONE.

SCIENCE

THE WAX MUSEUM WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE AFTERNOON OF JUNE 5TH IN THE FIFTH GRADE CLASSROOMS.
KORNAS:  We reviewed guideline for the Wax Museum today. Students should be preparing their “costumes” and presentation for the Wax Museum this Friday.  Look for a more detailed email tomorrow.


WRITING WORKSHOP

Barber: Work day on informational text.
*FINAL DRAFT DUE FRIDAY.

Brazier: “Writers elaborate on their thinking by finishing the phrase “This is important because…”
* HOMEWORK: SKETCH OUT ALL PARTS OF YOUR ‘BIG BOOK.’

Kornas: Informational bare book work day.
* HOMEWORK: RESEARCH YOUR TOPIC AND TAKE NOTES SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE INFORMATION TO USE WHEN WRITING YOUR CHAPTER IN CLASS.
THINK ABOUT WHICH NON-FICTION TEXT FEATURES YOU ARE GOING TO INCLUDE IN YOUR BOOK.
