MATH

Barber- Comparing fractions.  Putting fractions in order from least to greatest. HOMEWORK: PAGE 83 #3, #4, #5, AND #6.  USE THE TABLE TO HELP. DUE THURSDAY.

Brazier- Fractions on a Number Line. CFR. Strand 3 test tomorrow. Strands 1-3 test on Friday. No study guides. To prepare, revisit previous CFP and tests.

Kornas - Fraction Benchmarks and Ordering Fractions H.W. - PAGE 84 #1-6, CFP 3.1 RETAKE TOMORROW, CFP 3.2 on Friday

HOMEWORK #1: TAKE HOME YOUR LOG. DISCUSS IT WITH SOMEONE AT HOME. SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON THE “REFLECTION” SECTION. IT NEEDS TO BE SIGNED AND RETURNED BY TOMORROW. PARENT COMMENTS ON THE LOG ARE ENCOURAGED.

HOMEWORK #2: FINISH “CLAIM-SUPPORT-QUESTION” IF NEED BE. DUE TOMORROW.

Science/WORDMASTERS: (Teacher - Mrs. Kornas):  WORD RESEARCH DUE TODAY OR TOMORROW DEPENDING ON WHEN YOU WERE ASSIGNED YOUR WORD.

Spelling: (Teacher - Mrs. Barber):  NO spelling this week!

Social Studies: (Teacher - Mrs. Barber): Wrapped up Chapter 4 reading.  Further reading section and review this Thursday.  CHAPTER 4 TEST FRIDAY!

WRITING WORKSHOPS

BARBER: Writers use vivid images to say something uniquely or poetically.  

BRAZIER: Poetry Genre Study continues: Today, we discussed the power of shaping our words in particular ways to create certain effects.

KORNAS: Gilly Hopkins- Develop a Theory about Gilly as a class and support it with text. Final draft of Adjective/Noun Poem.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Our classroom Poetry Slams will take place on Wednesday, December 18 from 2:00-2:30. (Please note new time.)
