ANNOUNCEMENTS


  • We hope to see many of you at Seuss Night tomorrow (6:00-8:30).
SPELLING
Kornas: Students wrote spelling test words in planner today.
* HOMEWORK: STUDY FOR THE SPELLING TEST THAT WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY.

Brazier - Switch One: Representing fractions and mixed numbers using pattern blocks and symbols.
* SUGGESTED HOMEWORK: PREVIEW PAGES 160-163

* HOMEWORK: STUDENT GUIDE PAGE 151. USE DOT PAPER TO LABEL AND ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS. DUE MONDAY.

Kornas: Activity 2- Gravity and Balance Lab
* HOMEWORK - IT IS NOT TOO SOON TO START REVIEWING NEW FORCES AND MOTION SCIENCE CONCEPTS FROM LABS AND NEW VOCABULARY. STUDENTS HAVE A STUDY GUIDE IN THEIR FOLDER.
* ASK: “What is Newton’s First Law of Motion?”  (Answer: An object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will continue to move at the same speed in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced external force.)

READING WORKSHOP
Barber: Book Trailers Continue!


Brazier: Reading through the lens of STATUS QUO.
* ASK: “What does the Latin phrase ‘status quo’ mean? What does it have to do with Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry?”


Kornas: Book Club Reading, stop and jot and final meeting.
