READING WORKSHOP
Barber: “Readers pay attention to the atmosphere: look and feels like.”

Brazier: “Readers pay attention to details about the setting - the way a place looks and feels - its emotional atmosphere.”
ASK: “Tell me about the emotional atmosphere, or mood, of Number the Stars.

Martinez: Readers pay attention to the setting of the story.
ASK: “Tell me about the emotional atmosphere, or mood, of Number the Stars.

WRITING WORKSHOP
Barber: Opinion writers have opinions BIG or small.

Brazier: “Opinion writers get in touch with their beliefs.”

Martinez: “Opinion writers have opinions about matters big and small.”  Brainstorming and drafting continues.

SOCIAL STUDIES (Teacher: Mrs. Barber)  
Chapter 10: Activity- Plan a party. Later receive the guidelines.
