Brazier: “Readers pay attention to details about the setting - the way a place looks and feels - its emotional atmosphere.”
*ASK: “Tell me about the “emotional atmosphere” of the first few pages of Number the Stars.”
Kornas: Chalk Talk (thinking routine). Reveal book club members, team name and draft of team pennant.
*ASK: What is the name of your book club? Who is in your book club?
Martinez: Finished Headlines to wrap up partnerships, then had independent reading time. Book Clubs begin tomorrow!
WRITING WORKSHOP
Barber: Choosing our final drafts.
* OUR POETRY JAM WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY FROM 11:30-12:40.
Brazier: Opinion/Argument Writing pre-test. Kudos to the following students for bringing in outside sources and notes to help them with today’s pre-test: Leah, Aidan, Teagan, Fletcher, and Jordan.
Kornas: Choice Poetry in the computer lab.
