READING WORKSHOP
Barber: None :( we practiced the Poetry Jam.

*ASK: “Tell me about the “emotional atmosphere”  in the read aloud text, “Number the Stars.”

Martinez: Book Clubs shopped for books today and completed their constitution.

WRITING WORKSHOP

Barber:  Poetry Jam quick practice.  
* OUR POETRY JAM WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW FROM 11:30-12:40.

Brazier: A new unit began today. It’s all about Opinion/Argument Writing, one of the three main types of writing we do (the others are Narrative and Informational).  Teaching Point: “Opinion writers have opinions about matters big and small.”

Kornas: Poetry - Image Poem

Martinez: None today :(  Reading Workshop went over.
