TGIF! September 20th

MATH

Barber- Place Value of decimals.  Converting decimals to fractions and to percentages.  Determining order of decimals from least to greatest.  Optional HW: pg 237 1-5.

Brazier- Digging Deeper With Decimals. CFP #2 on Monday.

Strand 1 I CAN statements:
* I can read and write 15-digit numbers.

* I can write numbers of up to 15 digits in expanded notation.
Example: 24,678 = 20,000 + 4,000 + 600 + 70 +8

* I can also write decimals using expanded notation (a.k.a. expanded form)
Example: 24.365 = 20 + 4 + 3 X (1/10) + 6 X (1/100) + 5 X (1/1000)
