Barber-Review writing Place Value in 3 forms (word, standard and expanded) CFP Friday!

Brazier- Big Numbers and Place Value. CFP ON FRIDAY.

Kornas- Review of BIG NUMBERS up to hundred trillions. Homework: Study for CFP on FRIDAY and DPP Day 4.

Strand 1 I CAN statements:

* I can read and write 15-digit numbers.

* I can write numbers of up to 15 digits in expanded notation.

Example: 24,678 = 20,000 + 4,000 + 600 + 70 +8

* I can also write decimals using expanded notation (a.k.a. expanded form)

Example: 24.365 = 20 + 4 + 3 X (1/10) + 6 X (1/100) + 5 X (1/1000)
