Monday October 21st


MATH

Barber-  Partial products continued.  Students teach each other sample problems.  Green direction sheet for parents (found in the notes part of their binder).
** HW worksheet due Tuesday!  FRONT side of the Weekly Review ONLY due on Wednesday.

Brazier- Multiplication Practice. “Kids Teaching Kids.” Strand 2 DPP packet due on October 31. CFP on Thursday covering “compact” multiplication.

Kornas- Partial product introduction and homework worksheet.

HOMEWORK: WEEKLY REVIEW. DUE WEDNESDAY.

SWITCHES

Reading: (Teacher - Mr. Brazier): Independent and Partner Reading. Misc. Assessments.

Science: (Teacher - Mrs. Kornas):  Read pages 94 & 95 independently and answer questions on the provided worksheet.  This HOMEWORK is due Tuesday at 8:45.
RECORD WHAT THE MOON LOOKS LIKE EACH NIGHT IN YOUR PLANNER

Social Studies: (Teacher - Mrs. Barber): Chapter 3.2 & 3.3 complete chapter 3 organizer for each section.  Read aloud 3.3 and label interactive notebook page 16 #3.3.
HOMEWORK:  READ 3.4 by Thursday!

WRITING WORKSHOPS

BARBER:  “Writers use strong leads.” Practice different leads for our writing.

BRAZIER: “Writers ‘explode’ key moments.”
ASK: “What does it mean to “explode a moment?” How did Mr. B do it in his writing piece about the killer cat? How have you done it in your own writing?”

KORNAS: Free write!
