MATH

Barber- Mixed number fraction addition.  Ask your child what they need to do first to add unlike fractions.  Maybe they can teach you how.  
 
Brazier-  Update the math binder’s DATA section. Calculate current math grade. Receive Strand 7 textbook (Bits and Pieces II). Begin taking, as a class, the Bits and Pieces I test.
HOMEWORK: DPP PACKET (WITH ANSWER/COVER SHEET) DUE TOMORROW.  

Kornas- HW-MATH PAGE 180-181 #1, 2, 3, 6 and 8 - DUE TOMORROW
SWITCHES

Reading: (Teacher - Mr. Brazier): How to GO DEEPER with Book Club Talk

Science: (Teacher - Mrs. Kornas): Started Forces and Motion Unit.  Activity #1.

Spelling: (Teacher - Mrs. Barber):
HOMEWORK: PERSONALIZED SPELLING TEST TOMORROW FOR BRAZIER’S STUDENTS

Social Studies: (Teacher - Mrs. Barber):  Discuss wax museum topic.  Identify the author’s claim and reasons within the Time for kids issue.

WRITING WORKSHOPS

BARBER: Final On-Demand prompt!  HOMEWORK: FINAL DRAFT DUE TUESDAY, APRIL 22ND.

BRAZIER: Grammar lessons. Class Cheat Sheet for tomorrow’s test: The test will be the final ‘on-demand’ write-to-a-prompt for our Persuasive Essay unit.
HOMEWORK: PERSUASIVE ESSAY & REFLECTION PARAGRAPH DUE ON TUESDAY, APRIL 22. TO BE SHARED ELECTRONICALLY WITH MR. BRAZIER.

KORNAS: Computer Lab to work on Persuasive Essay (again!).  HW - Persuasive Essay is due THIS Thursday, April 17th.  Refer to rubric and target the 5th grade column to make sure you have included necessary components.
