MATH

*HOMEWORK: FIND TWO BIG NUMBERS TO SHARE TOMORROW.

Brazier: Math Screener. Number Talk. Introduction to Big Numbers.

Martinez: What is a trillion?  
* HOMEWORK: FIND ONE OR MORE BIG NUMBERS TO SHARE TOMORROW.  
Your number(s) should be in the thousands, millions, billions or trillions.
Example: There are approximately 37.2 trillion cells in your body.



READING WORKSHOP

Barber: Introduce class reading log and all students shop.

Brazier: Essential Reading Workshop Procedures

Martinez: Tour of classroom library.


WRITING WORKSHOP

Barber: “Writers write what they know well.” Map book.

What is a scientist?  Students wrapped up the work they did in a small group.
