ANNOUNCEMENTS

MATH

Barber: Review for CFP.  Comparing and rounding decimals introduction.
* CFP TOMORROW (Topic: Big Number & Decimal Place Value)

Brazier: Decimal Place Value.

* MATH STUDY SESSION TOMORROW DURING LUNCH
* ASK: “Express 321.046 in expanded form.” [Answer: 3 100 + 2 10 + 1 1 + 0 + 4 1100+ 6 11000 OR 300 + 20 + 1 + 0 + .04 + .006]

Martinez: Using decimal grids for fractions, decimals and percentages.
* CFP FRIDAY (Students should be able to accurately write a 15-digit number in standard and word form.  Also, students should be able to write numbers, including decimals in expanded form.)


READING WORKSHOP

Barber: “Readers talk back to their books.”

Brazier: “Readers make inferences as they read.”

Martinez: “Readers make inferences by paying attention to details.”


WRITING WORKSHOP
