ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Tomorrow will be Day 2 of ELA M-STEP testing for both Brazier’s and Martinez’s classes.

  • Tomorrow is Seuss Day & Seuss Night at BLE.

MATH
Barber: Over- and under-estimating. Investigation 1 Reflections.

READING WORKSHOP
Barber: Book Club celebration.  Thanks for the yummy donations.

Brazier: “Nonfiction texts sometimes teach main ideas implicitly.”
* ASK: First, name something you’ve learned about the hagfish from When Lunch Fights Back. Also, name some things you’ve learned about nonfiction texts in general.”

Martinez: Book Club Reflection.  Students created a CSI to capture the big ideas of their favorite book.  They will share this with parents at conferences.


WRITING
Barber:  M Step testing ALA.  
Brazier: Student-led conference preparations. Noticing and naming nonfiction text features and structures.

Martinez: “Writers use checklists to raise the quality of their writing.”
Student essays are due tomorrow.

SOCIAL STUDIES (Teacher: Mrs. Barber)
Students should continue reading and taking notes on their Wax Museum person of interest.
