WRITING WORKSHOP

Barber: “Informational writers use conclusions that relate back to the most important information.”

Brazier: “Informational writers use both headings and subheadings.”
* ASK: “Tell me the name of one of your subheadings. Under which heading does it fall?”

Kornas: Informational writing checklist, reconfirm “Who is my audience for this book?”
* HOMEWORK: RESEARCH YOUR TOPIC AND TAKE NOTES SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE INFORMATION TO USE WHEN WRITING YOUR CHAPTER IN CLASS.
THINK ABOUT WHICH NON-FICTION TEXT FEATURES YOU ARE GOING TO INCLUDE IN YOUR BOOK.
