ANNOUNCEMENTS

MATH
Barber: Review CPF 2 problems and misconceptions.  Modeling More Multiplication Situations.  


Brazier: Practice problems from the textbook

READING WORKSHOP
Barber: “Nonfiction readers notice that the main idea may be hidden.”


Brazier: “It can sometimes be hard to read a sentence correctly until we know the tone the author wants to convey.”
* HOMEWORK: SPEECH-READING: SEE THE NOTE CALLED “Reading Speeches Aloud for Fluency.” USE THE PROVIDED GREEN RUBRIC TO GAUGE YOUR LEVEL OF FLUENCY. ABOVE ALL, HAVE FUN!


Martinez: “Nonfiction readers orient themselves to the text.”

WRITING
Barber: “Informational writers write about areas of expertise.”


Brazier: “Informational writers explore their areas of expertise.”
* ASK: “What’s a strategy (or two) that Mr. B has taught you for generating informational writing topic ideas?”
