ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Please ask your fifth grader how the Grade 5 Through-line (“How can I impact our world?”) connected to today’s ASL assembly.

  • We hope to see many of you at tomorrow’s Wax Museum.

MATH
Barber: Strand 7 CFP #3

Brazier: Put together a study guide as a class for tomorrow’s CFP
* ASK: How would you teach a fourth grader to multiply two mixed numbers?

Martinez: Multiplying mixed numbers.  How do the products of mixed numbers go compared to multiplying fractions and multiplying whole numbers?

READING WORKSHOP
Barber: Independent reading & ASL assembly.

Brazier: “Complex nonfiction puts forward multiple main ideas.”

Martinez: “Readers use their voice to add meaning to the text.”  Volunteers read their speech.

WRITING WORKSHOP
Barber: “Informational writers create categories day 2.”

Brazier: “Informational writers delineate what makes their topic important.”

Martinez: “Informational writers organize their topic into categories.”
