ANNOUNCEMENTS

Barber: Common misspelled words: schedule, scissors, niece, embarrass, vacuum.

MATH

Brazier - Switch One: Positive and negative numbers in relation to zero. Review for tomorrow’s test (study guide completed in class).

SOCIAL STUDIES
Barber: Students teach students about their chapter 10 section. The focus is on how British rule affects the colonies.  

Kornas: Groups of 7 students work together to teach one another about their section. Take notes.
HOMEWORK: STUDY SECTIONS 10.2-10.4 TONIGHT. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE NIGHT BEFORE THE TEST!

READING WORKSHOP
Barber:  “Readers look through a lens.” Number the Stars work.

Brazier: Independent Reading. Individual Reading Conferences.

Kornas: Work on student-led conference.

Martinez: “Readers learn more about the characters and/or setting when they pay close attention to descriptive passages.”


WRITING WORKSHOP

Barber: “Opinion writers use mini stories to develop their reasons.” WORK DAY
*HOMEWORK DUE THURSDAY: LIST YOUR OPINION, 3 REASONS AND EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT EACH REASON.

Brazier: “Opinion writers seek out multiple sources of evidence.”
* SUGGESTED HOMEWORK: FIND ANOTHER NEW EVIDENCE SOURCE. BRING IN YOUR EVIDENCE.

Kornas: Work on student-led conference.

Martinez: “Writers of essays group similar ideas together.”
